A former workshop converted into a light-filled mews house across three carefully considered levels.
The industrial shell gave us height and light; we kept both. A new stair stitches the levels together, and a roof-light draws the sky down into the heart of the plan.
Robust, honest materials — concrete, steel and oak — are softened by plaster and warm textiles, balancing the building's working past with a comfortable present.
